Emerald Heights is looking for an experienced HR professional to join our leadership team!
Emerald Heights is a five star senior living community in Redmond, Washington unlike any other in the area. We sit on a stunning 38-acre campus with miles of wooded walking paths. Our purpose here at Emerald Heights is to provide our residents the best senior living experience in the Puget Sound area. We offer a full continuum of care from independent living to assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care.
We are seeking a well-rounded Community HR Director who is looking to further their career in HR! If you have 5+ years of HR generalist experience, this might be the role for you! You will work alongside a passionate HR and leadership team to support 250 employees on our campus in Redmond, WA. Please note, this is a Community Director role and we love our team in house - customer facing!

Pay Scale:
$95,000-106,000
(also eligible for bonus)
We offer:
100% paid medical, dental and vision, employer paid life insurance and AD&D for employees working 30+ hours/week (Option to buy-up if desired). In addition, we offer a Flexible Spending account for medical and childcare reimbursements with a $500.00 rollover feature (No Rollover on childcare) AND the option to purchase Long Term disability insurance. Eligibility begins the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 403(B) plan (Eligibility on 403b – 20+ hours per week) – We match 50 cents for every dollar saved up to 10% of your annual salary. Matching begins the first of the quarter following 1 year of employment. Full-time employees are eligible to accrue up to 21 paid time off days, 6 paid holidays and 3 personal days. Pro-rated paid time off is available to part-time employees.

You will impact the entire employee lifecycle. Primary responsibilities include:
- Oversees the entire employee lifecycle and HR team. These functions include but are not limited to the recruiting process, employee onboarding and documentation, HRIS system, compensation administration, training and development and employee recognition.
- Serves as a representative for employees and acts in a conciliatory role concerning employee grievances, conferring with and counseling employees regarding personnel policies and procedures, benefits, employee relations, and professional concerns. Oversees & conducts employee investigations as needed.
- Serves as resource for supervisory staff by advising on employee relations and disciplinary actions.
- Recommends staffing, training and equipment needed to meet resident needs and/or to provide other services.
- Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal labor laws, including department of health regulations.
- Prepare and administer annual HR department budget.
- Supports employee safety programs and initiatives.
- Manages workers compensation claims.
- Partners with outside vendor to manage unemployment claims.
- Coordinates annual performance evaluation process.
- Oversees and administers all employee benefit plans.
- Develops and prepares monthly metrics reports.
- Leave Management.
- Completes all state and federally mandated annual reports.
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related subject preferred, or equivalent work/experience.
- At least 5 years’ experience in Human Resources.
- PHR or SHRM certification preferred.
- Experience in healthcare or long-term care environment preferred.
